Learning to paint
At 14, I enrolled in painting classes with my sister to learn how to work with brushes on canvas. I studied with my teacher for six months, and my painting “Chess” was later one of three works selected through him for SHOS. I no longer have that painting. In 2026, my teacher invited me to exhibit several of my strongest paintings at a festival featuring some of his students’ best work. Seeing my paintings on display and taking part in the festival was an enjoyable experience.
